I am so excited to introduce you to Grant Mroz! Grant is such a great guy and over the last few months, I've enjoyed getting to chat with him. I met Grant by chance through his Facebook page because we both had a few mutual friends. I don't even remember how, but somehow we struck up a conversation and it's been such a pleasure getting to know him.
I'm ecstatic that Grant agreed to be the first male model featured in my "Models I Love!" posts. Yes ladies (and some gents), you may thank me now! Grant is a very handsome young man and has provide some great pictures for me to help show him off! I also asked some questions to help us get a glimpse into his life as a model.

My interview with Grant
Me: So Grant, how did you get into modeling?
Grant: I have been told as I've grown up that I should be a model and have even had people I just met ask me if I was a model. So almost two years ago I did a Paul Mitchell Fashion Show and directly afterwards, as I was grabbing my things, another model asked me if I'd be interested in doing book covers.
Me: What has been your favorite shoot so far?
Grant: My favorite shoot so far was when I was doing a promotion
with Boost Models for a new photography studio in Branson, MO. We had a
chauffeur with a limo to take us to Branson; they put us up in a resort, and
took us out to dinner. It was a lot of fun as we got to do a few different
genres of modeling ranging from fantasy to boudoir.
Me: What goals do you have for your modeling career?
Grant: My modeling goals are to one day be on a fitness magazine
and be on a magazine like GQ.
Me: One of my favorite questions to ask - If you were given three million dollars, what would you do with it?
Grant: If I were given 3 million dollars, I would buy a decent
car, do a little traveling, and then invest the rest.
Me: Do you like to read, and if so, what type of books do you get into?
Grant: I like to read, it's just hard to find books that I like.
I really enjoyed the Star Wars: Darth Bane series and the Harry Potter series.
So I guess I enjoy fantasy/sci-fi more than anything else.
Me: Favorite junk food?
Grant: Chocolate chip cookies or
cheesecake.
Me: If you could work with another model, male or female, who would it be and why?
Grant: If I could work with any model of my choosing, I would
say it I would choose Kate Beckinsale….because she is gorgeous!!!
Me: What is something that people would never guess about you?
Grant: I would say that most people would never guess that I
used to be a butter-ball.
(No . . . I would not guess this!)
Me: If you could live anywhere in the world, where would that be?
Grant: Ireland or on my own secluded, renovated island in the
Bahamas.
Me: If you were not modeling, what is your dream job or is this your ultimate dream job?
Grant: I am going to school for Electronic Media Production, with
an emphasis in Recording Arts (which means recording bands in a studio). I am
also about to be a personal trainer. I enjoy learning and try applying what I
learn to my daily life. I have ideas for different businesses and such which I
would like to become reality. So I don't necessarily have a “dream job” since I
am open to different opportunities, I don't think I would have actually gone to
an audition for modeling or acting if I hadn't been asked to be my roommates
model for the fashion show. After that, I have been blessed with opportunities
and have learned to accept ones that seem most promising.
Me: Any advice for new models out there?
Grant: I would tell new models or people who are trying to
become models to be patient and to do your research. Even after modeling for
almost two years, people still message me promising me with great opportunities, which after some research and calling companies that these people supposedly
work for, I learn is untrue. As far as the patience part goes, choose your battles.
I understand that you have to start somewhere, but after you have gotten some
good photos (and you know if they are actually good) look for photographers
that will help make you better as a model and will help you with posing and
knowing what to do in front of a camera.
I would also tell people new to modeling to take someone with you to shoots, regardless if someone tells you not to (if they say they don't want you to bring your boyfriend or a family member, then that is probably someone you don't want to shoot with).
