Book Review - "Temptation" by Casey L Bond

If you haven't discovered the absolutely wonderful Casey L Bond yet, her newest serial release, Temptation, is the perfect time to get acquainted. Book Overview

My name is Brooklyn Harris. In my life, I’ve done a lot of things I’m not proud of, but I am proud of my life. I just need to figure out what to do with the rest of it. I’m a burlesque dancer at an exclusive Vegas club. That fact, along with the teensy weensy misdemeanor on my record, means the cops don’t exactly trust me when I say someone is stalking me.

But he is. He leaves things everywhere, has invaded my home and my life. Things are starting to escalate and I’m not even going to lie. I’m scared. So my best friend, Sin, has this plan: skip town and let the police work and her dad call in a few favors. Let someone try to find this guy before he finds me. I’m going along with it. But, only until I can figure out how to fight back.

Landing in the tiny town of Swift Rapids, Virginia wasn’t really part of the plan. My admirer found me in New York City, so Sin and I had to make tracks. The sexy cop in town? He’s everywhere. I can’t stop bumping into him and I can’t get him out of my head. Colt Stone is hard as a rock and just as stubborn. I need to get laid, learn to shoot a gun and take my life back—in that order.

My Take

Casey L Bond does it again with this book serial. I can't stress enough how much I loved this book. Better yet, I love how she uses the characters from her Sin series and builds upon the world I've fallen in love with. Brooklyn is the main focus for this set of stories; she met Morgan in the Sin series and they became best friends.

Brooklyn finds herself being stalked and with no clues as to who is behind her mystery gifts and break-ins, Morgan (Sin) and Shane do everything they can to help her. Morgan takes Brooklyn on a trip to New York and they soon find themselves running again, to the small town of Swift Rapids. To add to her complications . . . into her life walks Stone, the local cop who is hot as hell and infuriates Brooklyn to no end. Will Brooklyn survive her stalker and find a new reason to run away from Vegas? You'll just have to read to find out!

I absolutely loved this book and could not put it down! And for anyone like me who stays fairly busy, you know a book is excellent when you are staying up WAY later than you should to finish it. These stories are full of adventure, laughs, and hot tension. Definitely a winner in my book!

Book Review - "Sin" by Casey L. Bond

To me, the perfect read at the beach is about fun in the city. Casey L. Bond provides me with the perfect city escape that, if I'm honest, is good in any location! Sin is a serial novel (it was introduced over a five week period in five parts), but the entire serial is available now in one combined edition.

Book Overview

My name is Morgan Sinclare. My father is a United States Senator. He’s kept me locked away for most of my life in private all-girl schools, in our home. But I just heard what he has planned for me. He’s sold my hand to the highest bidder. I’m supposed to marry one of his friends, someone twice my age. I’m biding my time, acting like the giddy bride-to-be, like the dutiful daughter.

We are to elope as soon as possible to seal the deal. I acted devastated that I wouldn’t get my dream wedding, so they’re letting me choose the honeymoon location. I’ve always heard that Las Vegas is a magical place. And I think it’s time I disappear....

My Take

What can I say except that I loved, loved, loved this book! Casey L Bond has become my go-to author for serials. Sin is a wonderful tale set in Las Vegas that is packed with fun, adventure, and heat! This one was definitely a page turner and I could hardly put it down.

Morgan Sinclare finds herself in a bad way. Her dad has sold her off to some creep of a guy who takes her to Vegas to say their vows and introduce her to a life of servitude. However, Morgan has other plans, and runs away, trying to hide from her intended.

Without much money and little knowledge of what she can do, luck intervenes and Morgan finds herself working as a photographer. Her first gig? Taking photos of the oh so hot male boxers for a local gym. Enter Shane Justice. Gorgeous male athlete that has Morgan flirting with danger. Although what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, it's only good if you don't live in Vegas and a crazy night finds Morgan once again in hiding.

Can she protect herself from danger or will her attraction to Shane be her undoing? A few twists and turns really kept me on my toes in this one! If you're looking for a sexy story and like taking a gamble on love, this is the perfect addition to your collection!
